Validity
Shows whether the number passed the validation check. Invalid numbers get their own status, so teams can review or filter them before using a contact list.
Run an HLR (Home Location Register) check to validate a phone number, see its availability status, operator and country, and check for matches on supported social platforms.
Country shows where the number is registered, not where its owner is right now. Found means the Validator detected a match between the number and that platform. It doesn't identify the account owner or show whether the account is active.

HLR is the database mobile networks use to manage subscriber number information. An HLR lookup requests network-level data about a phone number and returns the available status information.
A format check only confirms that a number follows the expected numbering structure. An HLR lookup goes further by checking network-level information about the number.

Shows whether the number passed the validation check. Invalid numbers get their own status, so teams can review or filter them before using a contact list.
Shows the status returned by the network in a clear category instead of a raw technical code.
Shows the mobile operator returned by the lookup.
Shows the country associated with the phone number code. This doesn't indicate the person's current physical location.
The Validator converts technical availability codes into clear, user-facing statuses.
The network returned an active status for the number.
The number couldn't be reached at the time of the check. This doesn't mean the number no longer exists.
The network returned a status showing the number can't be reached.
The network didn't return enough data to confirm the status.
Checks aren't available for this country or operator.
A validation result becomes more useful when each status has a clear next step. Teams can use the results to decide which records to keep, review or recheck before the next campaign.
Keep the contact in the list for further outreach.
Keep the contact for a later recheck or another attempt.
Lower its priority and consider rechecking before another campaign.
Review the record before using it in another campaign.
Recheck later rather than treating the number as invalid.
Use the signal for segmentation where your workflow and consent rules allow it.
Split a list into valid, invalid and unconfirmed numbers before a campaign starts. Outbound teams can filter or deprioritize records that returned a negative validation result, especially when working with large contact bases and call center solutions.
Identify invalid or unavailable numbers before agents dial them or an SMS campaign starts. This helps reduce attempts on contacts that have already returned a negative validation result.
Lead generation and affiliate teams can segment records by validation status, operator, country and available social signals before they enter a sales workflow.
Check a number at signup, during CRM import or before a lead moves into a sales workflow. Fintech teams can use validation alongside telephony for finance to keep contact records up to date.
Check the condition of a contact base before launching OTP, 2FA, SMS or voice traffic. The results help teams identify invalid, unavailable and uncertain records before sending traffic.
Enter a single number or upload a file with a list of numbers.
The Validator normalizes the number to E.164 format and runs the HLR check.
Operator, country and supported social platform signals are added to the result.
You get a structured result for each number.
Check one number from the page or your account. Use it to validate an individual contact before outreach or investigate a number that returned an unexpected result.
Upload a CSV or XLSX file and get a validation result for every row. Duplicate numbers are removed automatically before the check.
You'll be able to connect the Validator to your CRM, signup form or other workflow and receive validation results in a structured format. Leave a request, and we'll let you know when API access opens.

One check covers the HLR lookup and all social platforms. Checks that fail due to an error or return no data aren't charged.
Our team works with HLR, operator data, voice and messaging workflows and can help teams interpret validation results in the context of their communication setup.
Use Validator alongside DID Global services such as DID numbers, SIP trunking, SMS and SPAM Checker. SPAM Checker helps monitor the reputation of the numbers you call from, while Validator checks the status and available data for numbers in your contact base.
We help you choose the right validation format for your workflow and get started quickly.
Start with the volume you need and move to a larger package as the number of checks increases.
Each check runs an HLR lookup and returns validity, availability status, operator and country. It also checks for matches on supported social platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Results depend on the data returned during the check, so they shouldn't be treated as a guarantee that a person will answer a call, receive a message or take a specific action.
Availability shows the status returned during the network check. The Validator converts technical codes into clear categories: Available, Temporarily unavailable, Unavailable, Unknown and Unsupported. A temporarily unavailable number still exists, so it's worth rechecking later.
WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, on every plan and in every supported country. Each platform can return Found, Not found or Unknown. Unknown is used when a platform gives no clear answer or the request fails.
No. Found means the Validator detected a match between the number and the platform. It doesn't identify the account owner or confirm that the account is active.
Yes. Upload a CSV or XLSX file, and you'll get a result for every number in the list. Duplicate numbers are removed automatically, so each number is checked and charged only once.
API access is coming soon. You'll be able to connect the Validator to your CRM, signup form or dialer and run checks automatically. Leave a request through the form, and we'll let you know as soon as it opens.
The Start plan includes up to 500 checks for $75, Business includes up to 1,000 for $120, and Pro includes up to 1,500 for $150. One check covers the HLR lookup and all three social platforms for a single number. You aren't charged when a check fails because of an error or when the number isn't found in the database. If you need more than 1,500 checks, we'll agree on a custom price for your volume.
Uploaded numbers are processed to run the checks you request. For details on how DID Global collects, stores and protects data, see our Privacy Policy.
Tell us how many numbers you need to check each month and how you plan to run the checks. We'll help you choose a plan and set up access.
